Hi Cindy

I'm still not sure about Blogger: I can see you've made a new post but I can't find it.
As far as this one goes, I think that people are still likely to show their "best face" on a webcam or photos. Sure , yu've got a bit more to go on, at least you can see you are talking to a woman in her 20's rather than an 13 year old bored teenager guy pretending to be a woman in her 20's , but you don't have a lot more. I think the realtionship is still going to hange more on what you say than what you lok like!

I hope this is going better for you. You sounded pretty concerned about it last Tuesday. I finally have mine finished, excpet for a bit of tidying up. Whew!

Hope to see you tomorrow.

What do you think about this?

Hi, everyone,
I need some ideas about online romantic relationship. I have read the article on the course reader. I think the author focuses on the online romance which happens before they meet face-to-face. How about the two people meet offline first and then mantain the relationship via the Internet? What's the difference between these two kinds of online relationship?
As Aaron Ben-Ze'ev mentioned in the article, attractiveness and praiseworthiness are the two basic evaluative patterns of romantic love. When it happens online, people focus more on the appraisal of other characteristics cos they can't see their online partners. Compared with offline relationship, it is true. But when the webcam involves in online communication, will it change a little bit? Will the relationship be more similar to the offline one or even become no difference in certain aspacts?
I am looking forward to reading your opinions. Thanks!

Thank you :)

Thank you Mary, Lois and Sheba. I am happy to see your post and comments. I know that choosing a topic is hard but I have to decide by myself. Yesterday I read something about Internet and family in the course reader and thought about my life here with the Internet. I just realized the close relationship between us.I think that will be an interesting topic for me and I may have a lot to say since I use the Internet more and more often to keep in touch with my family. What I want to do now is reading more materials and think about more details.
Thanks for the Internet and I can get help even in the days we can not meet each other:)

Hi Cindy

you sound really anxious about it. It is a worry when a dealine gets closer and you're still not sure what to do. I often find talking around the possible options is useful and makes my thinking clearer. Would it be useful to meet and have a coffee and talk it through? I'll be in at Uni this afternoon after 2.00 if that's any good, or can come in on Wednesday.

Could you please give me some advice?

Hi everyone,
I read all your blogs just now. It seems everyone is clear about what to write and even already had some information about this. I am really happy to see that but have a lot of pressure:(
I still have no idea about my final essay:-( I thought I would like to do something about children(although I am not sure what aspacts I should focus on). Rosemary gave me another interesting idea about online communication.Could you please give me some advice about the two topics?Which one should I choose? It's a hard decision:(
I am looking forword to reading your ideas. Thanks a lot!
